A Telangana cadastral map — also called a village survey map — shows the boundary and number of every survey parcel in a village. You can view it free on your phone with the Telangana LandGrid app, which draws the survey boundaries over satellite imagery for villages across Telangana, or download every survey number of a village as a village survey map PDF. The government's own maps are available through the Bhu Bharati portal and the mandal office; a certified copy (Tippan or village map) comes from the mandal surveyor.
What a survey map shows
Village land in Telangana is divided into numbered parcels called survey numbers. A survey (cadastral) map draws those parcels to scale. On a satellite survey map you see, for each parcel:
- the boundary — where one survey number ends and the next begins;
- the survey number printed inside it;
- its area — in acres-guntas and square yards — and its village, mandal and district.
Seeing boundaries over real satellite imagery is what makes it useful: you can match a parcel to roads, wells, field bunds and buildings on the ground.
How to view the survey map on your phone
- Open Telangana LandGrid (Android or iPhone) and search the village (or type a survey number).
- Tap Survey No. — boundaries load as orange lines with the numbers inside.
- Zoom in further for more detail; zoom out to see neighbouring survey numbers.
- Tap any survey number for its details card: survey number, village, mandal, district, acres-guntas and square yards.
- Use Screenshot to share the view, or save the survey to your list.

CCLA and official cadastral maps
Official village (cadastral) maps and survey records are maintained by Telangana's revenue administration — the Survey, Settlements and Land Records wing, under the CCLA (Chief Commissioner of Land Administration), the state's top land-administration office. Certified copies of a village map or a Tippan come from the mandal surveyor or MRO office. The Bhu Bharati portal's public services cover land records (Details of Land), market value and encumbrance details rather than a map viewer, so for seeing survey numbers on a map, use a survey map app or the village map PDF.
Where the data comes from
Survey boundaries shown in Telangana LandGrid come from publicly accessible government map data (the NRSC Bhuvan portal), displayed over satellite imagery for convenience. The app is independent and is not affiliated with the Government of Telangana.
How accurate is an online survey map?
Village maps were drawn decades ago and later digitised, so small offsets against the satellite image are normal — a boundary may appear a few metres from the bund on the ground. Treat an online map as an excellent guide for locating land and checking neighbouring parcels, not as a legal measurement. Before buying land, get the boundaries measured by the mandal surveyor (a Tippan survey) and confirm the records on Bhu Bharati.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Telangana survey map free to view?
Yes. Viewing survey boundaries and numbers on the map in Telangana LandGrid is free. A printable PDF map of a whole village is an optional one-time purchase.
Which villages are covered?
Survey boundaries are available for villages across Telangana where the government survey data is published. If a village shows no boundaries when zoomed in, its data may not be available yet.
What is the difference between a survey map and a Tippan?
A survey map shows many parcels and their numbers. A Tippan is the detailed survey sketch of one survey number with its field measurements, issued by the survey department. The Tippan is what you need for a legal boundary measurement.
Can I see the survey map on a computer?
The survey map view in Telangana LandGrid is built for Android and iPhone. On a computer you can order the village survey map PDF from this website.
