This Privacy Policy explains how the Telangana LandGrid mobile application and website ("App", "we", "us") collect, use, store, and share information. By using the App or the website, you agree to the practices described below. Telangana LandGrid is published by Tech Avenue Labs.
1. Using the App Without an Account
Most of the App works without signing in. Even when signed out, we record limited technical information so the App works and so we know how many people use it: a random identifier created on your device (not your hardware or advertising ID — it resets if you reinstall the App), your device model, app version, IP address, and when the App was last opened.
2. Accounts and Sign-In
Signing in is optional. It is needed only to buy maps, back up your saved items to your account, and use Property Reels. You can sign in with your phone number, Google, or Apple.
- Phone number — used to send you a one-time login code. The code is sent through our SMS partner and is stored only in encrypted form, then deleted once you verify.
- Google or Apple — we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that account (Apple may give you a private relay email instead).
For each account we store your phone number and/or email, name, username, optional profile picture, your device details, and when the account was created and last used.
3. Purchases
Payments are handled entirely by the app stores or our payment provider. We never receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
For each order we keep a record of what was purchased, the location it relates to, the transaction reference, the email address you gave for delivery, and your device details. Purchased maps are emailed to the address you provide. We keep order records to deliver your purchase, help with support, and meet tax and accounting obligations.
4. Saved Surveys and Measurements
Surveys and measurements you save are stored on your device and also backed up to our servers, so you do not lose them if you change or reset your device. The backup includes the survey details or the measurement you drew, along with its location and calculated area.
If you are signed in, the backup is linked to your account; otherwise it is linked to your device so you can still recover it.
5. Property Reels
Property Reels is optional and requires an account.
- Reels you upload are public. Once approved, your video, description, chosen property location, username, and profile picture are visible to everyone using the App and to anyone with a share link.
- Comments are public and show your username and picture.
- Likes and reports are recorded against your account. Reports are visible to our moderators.
- Views are counted anonymously — we record that a view happened, not who watched.
- Every reel is reviewed before it appears publicly. We may reject or remove reels, and restrict accounts that repeatedly break our rules.
Do not put anything in a reel you would not want to be public — descriptions often contain a contact number, and that is visible to everyone.
6. Profile Pictures
A profile picture you upload is shown next to your reels and comments, so it is publicly visible.
7. Location
If you allow location access, the App uses your GPS only to show your position on the map. Your location stays on your device and is not sent to or stored on our servers. You can refuse or turn off this permission at any time and the rest of the App keeps working.
Coordinates you deliberately save, and the location you choose for a reel, are sent to our servers — because those are features you asked for.
8. Search
Location searches you type are sent to our servers to find matching villages, mandals, and districts. Search text is not linked to your account.
9. Notifications
We send notifications about your orders, reel moderation results, and occasional announcements. Our notification provider receives a device notification identifier and, when you are signed in, your account details including your email address and phone number so we can reach you about your orders. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time.
10. Analytics, Diagnostics, and Advertising
We use analytics and crash-reporting tools to understand how the App is used and to fix problems, and we show advertising to keep the App free. Advertising partners may use device identifiers to serve and measure ads.
- On iOS, ad personalization follows your App Tracking Transparency choice. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are not personalized.
- On Android, ad personalization follows your device advertising settings.
- You can remove ads entirely with the Remove Ads purchase.
11. Feedback and Support
If you send feedback through the App, we store your message along with any name and email you give and basic device details, so we can reply and reproduce the problem.
12. Permissions the App Requests
- Location — to show your position on the map. Optional.
- Camera and microphone — to record property reel videos. Optional.
- Photos — to choose a reel video or profile picture, and to save maps you generate. Optional.
- Notifications — for the messages described above. Optional.
- Internet — required, since survey data loads from our servers.
13. Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the App, each acting under their own privacy policy — for sign-in and app-store billing, online payments, sending login codes by SMS, push notifications, storing and delivering images and videos, analytics and crash reporting, advertising, and sending emails.
We may also disclose information where required by law or valid legal process, or to protect our rights, our users, or the security of the service. Some of these providers process data outside India.
14. How Long We Keep Information
- Account details — while your account exists.
- Order records — kept after account deletion, with the link to your identity removed, for accounting and tax purposes.
- Login codes — deleted as soon as they are used, and they expire within minutes.
- Reels and comments — until you or a moderator removes them.
- Analytics and crash data — for as long as needed to keep the App working well. Anonymous, aggregated statistics may be kept indefinitely.
15. Deleting Your Account and Your Rights
You can delete your account from inside the App: Profile → Delete Account. This removes your sign-in details and closes your account, and also deletes:
- your reels, including the video files, and the comments and likes you posted
- your profile picture
- the surveys and measurements backed up to your account
- your name, email address, and phone number from our records
Order records are kept for accounting and tax purposes, as described above, but the link to your identity is removed.
Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw consent you previously gave.
To make a request, email [email protected] from the email address or phone number registered to your account so we can verify it is you. We aim to respond within 30 days.
You can also, at any time: turn off notifications, turn off location, camera, or photo permissions in your device settings, adjust ad tracking, buy Remove Ads, or uninstall the App to stop further collection.
16. Security
Information sent between the App and our servers is encrypted, login codes are stored encrypted, and payment details never reach our systems. We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
17. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
18. Government Affiliation
Telangana LandGrid is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Government of Telangana. Survey data is sourced from publicly available government portals and is provided for reference only.
19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
